Shopping Bag with an online account

If you are shopping with a registered online account, your Shopping Bag will be saved for 14 days even if you log out or close your web browser. To retrieve it, log back in.

Please note that if you have an online account and are not logged in, your shopping session will be terminated automatically when you close out of your web browser and the contents of your Bag will be emptied.

Note: If you place an item in your Bag, the item is not "reserved" for you and may still sell out until you have completed the checkout process. Items that are no longer available will be highlighted in red and you will need to remove it from your Bag.

Shopping Bag without an online account

If you are shopping without a registered online account or are not logged in, your shopping session will terminated automatically when you close out of your web browser in order to protect you.

What do these online shopping indicators mean?

Limited Sizes – Not all sizes are available for purchase.
Limited Quantity – The desired quantity may not be available at the time of purchase.
Arriving Now – A new item, currently arriving into our inventory. Not all sizes and colors may be readily available for customer selection. Please allow up to 2 weeks for complete availability.
New Arrival – A new item featured online for 2 weeks, which is available in all sizes and colors.

How often is your item availability updated?

  • We update the availability of the items on our site close to "real time". Items found online are available in the sizes that are displayed on the product page. In rare circumstances, for example when two customers purchase the last unit of an item at the same time, the item might become unavailable to ship. In such an event, the item will be canceled from your order and you will be notified by email.
  • If you place an item in your Shopping Bag, the item is not "reserved" for you and may still sell out until you complete the checkout process. Items that are no longer available will be highlighted in red and will need to be removed from your Bag.
  • Some items may not be available to ship to certain states due to state-specific regulations. These items will be removed from your order before shipping.
  • Once an item is out of stock online, we may not replenish it. For The Children’s Place or Gymboree styles, please click on "Stores" to find locations in your area with possible availability. Call your nearest store and one of our associates will be more than happy to assist you. We do not backorder any sold out items.
  • At this time, we do not have the system capability to perform a store search for past season items, as they are transferred to various locations. Some sale items may only be found in our outlet locations.
  • New collections are usually available online approximately two weeks before the collections arrive in stores. The Children’s Place store locations carry The Children’s Place and Gymboree merchandise, but our online shops childrensplace.com and gymboree.com offer the full collection of styles (including Online Exclusive items not available in stores).


How do I locate an item in store?

There are 2 ways to check item availability in stores for The Children’s Place or Gymboree merchandise: contact your local store to ask an associate for assistance or shop online to utilize our Buy Online Pick Up Today feature (if available).

To utilize our Buy Online Pick Up Today feature, select the size/color of the item you’re looking for. Next, select the “Pick Up Today” delivery method and the store location you’d like to pick up from. A status will let you know if the item is Available, Limited Availability or Unavailable at the selected location.
